Fleet Of Flowers - 2026
I joined Oregon Coast Breaking News to photograph the annual Fleet of Flowers ceremony, a meaningful Memorial Day tradition that honors both those who have been lost at sea and the men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving our country. The weather was anything but cooperative, with heavy rain, strong winds, and challenging conditions throughout the event. Despite the elements, I was able to capture meaningful images that documented the ceremony, the floral tributes, and the community members who gathered to pay their respects. This project challenged me as a photographer while allowing me to preserve an important coastal tradition and add a unique collection of event photographs to my portfolio.


Burn Box Training - 2026
I had the opportunity to photograph Toledo Fire Department's live burn training, one of the final steps in the process of becoming a certified firefighter. This hands-on training allows recruits to experience realistic fire conditions while putting their skills and knowledge to the test in a controlled environment. Throughout the exercise, I captured the intensity, teamwork, and determination required to complete this important milestone. The project provided valuable content for the department's social media and promotional efforts while also allowing me to add a collection of powerful firefighting images to my own portfolio.


Mombetsu, Japan delegation Welcome Banquet - 2026
I had the honor of being selected by the City of Newport to photograph the welcome banquet for the Sister City Mombetsu, Japan delegation. The event brought together community leaders, guests, and visitors from both cities to celebrate the longstanding relationship between Newport and Mombetsu. It was a wonderful evening filled with connection, cultural exchange, and community spirit. Through photography, I was able to document the special moments, interactions, and atmosphere of the event while creating a collection of images that captured the significance of the occasion.


Wildland Fire Training Exercise - 2026
I had the opportunity to document a joint wildland fire training exercise involving the Toledo Fire Department and Siletz Valley Fire District. To create a realistic training environment, live fires were ignited on the hillside behind the Toledo Fire Department, allowing firefighters to practice wildland firefighting tactics in conditions that closely resembled real emergency situations. Throughout the training, I captured photo content for both departments to use in social media and promotional materials while also adding a collection of dynamic wildland firefighting images to my own portfolio. The project highlighted the teamwork, training, and dedication required to prepare for the challenges of fire season.


Blessing Of The Fleet - 2026
For the 2026 Blessing of the Fleet, I once again had the opportunity to board a U.S. Coast Guard vessel to document one of Newport’s most meaningful coastal traditions for Oregon Coast Breaking News. From the unique perspective on the water, I captured the fishing fleet, the blessing ceremony, and the community members who gathered to honor those lost at sea and wish local fishermen a safe and successful season. This year, the Loyalty Days royalty joined us aboard the vessel, adding another special element to the event. The experience provided a wealth of photo and video content for news coverage while also allowing me to capture memorable images for my own portfolio.


Weekend Extrication Exercise - 2025
I had the opportunity to document a two-day vehicle extrication training exercise attended by firefighters from both the Toledo Fire Department and Siletz Valley Fire District. Throughout the weekend, crews practiced the techniques, teamwork, and problem-solving skills required to safely remove patients from damaged vehicles during emergency situations. I was there to capture photo and video content for Siletz Valley Fire District, documenting the training for social media and promotional use. In addition to creating content for the department, I was also able to capture a variety of powerful images that expanded my own photography portfolio and showcased the dedication and professionalism of the firefighters involved.


Lincoln County Technical Response Team Training - 2025
I had the opportunity to document a rope rescue training conducted by the Lincoln County Technical Response Team, with firefighters from both the Toledo Fire Department and Siletz Valley Fire District participating as members of the team. The training focused on the specialized skills, safety procedures, and teamwork required for technical rope rescues in challenging environments. Through photography, I was able to capture the dedication, professionalism, and hands-on learning that help prepare responders for complex rescue situations while also adding a unique collection of training images to my portfolio.


Nesika Illahee Pow-Wow Parade - 2025
I had the opportunity to attend the annual Nesika Illahee Pow-Wow in Siletz, where I was originally there to photograph the fire department’s involvement in the event. As the day unfolded, I found myself capturing much more—from the vibrant regalia and traditional dancing to the community gatherings, cultural celebrations, and meaningful moments shared throughout the Pow-Wow. This project allowed me to document a wide variety of scenes while experiencing an important local tradition, resulting in a unique collection of images that supported the department’s needs while also adding meaningful cultural and community-focused photography to my portfolio.


Toledo Summer Fest Parade - 2025
I had the opportunity to photograph the 2025 Toledo Summer Fest Parade while gathering content for the Toledo Fire Department. The parade brought together local organizations, businesses, emergency services, and community members for a fun-filled celebration of small-town spirit. While capturing photos and content for the department's social media and promotional needs, I was also able to add a variety of colorful, community-focused images to my own photography portfolio.


Birthday Boy - 2025
I had the opportunity to photograph a very special first birthday celebration for a friend's little boy. As the son of a firefighter, it was only fitting that the party was held at the local fire station, creating a unique and memorable backdrop for the occasion. From fire trucks and firefighter-themed decorations to candid moments with family and friends, the event was filled with excitement and joy. This project focused on capturing the milestone of a first birthday while preserving the special connection between a firefighter family and the fire service community that plays such an important role in their lives.


Car Fire Training - 2025
I had the opportunity to document a joint training exercise between the Toledo Fire Department and Siletz Valley Fire District focused on vehicle fire response. Throughout the training, firefighters practiced the techniques, safety procedures, and teamwork required to effectively manage vehicle fires in real-world emergency situations. This project allowed me to capture the intensity of the live-fire training, the dedication of the firefighters involved, and the hands-on experience that helps prepare them to serve their communities. Through photography, I was able to showcase both the technical skills being practiced and the strong partnership between the two departments as they trained together.


Blessing of the fleet 2025
The 2025 Blessing of the Fleet in Newport was a powerful and deeply rooted coastal tradition honoring the local fishing community and those who have been lost at sea. Throughout the event, I had the opportunity to document everything from the fishing vessels and survival suit. Capturing the event from both land and sea allowed me to showcase the emotion, tradition, and strong sense of community that make the Blessing of the Fleet such a meaningful part of the Oregon Coast each year. Through photo and video coverage, this project focused on preserving the atmosphere, storytelling, and moments that connected generations of fishermen, families, first responders, and community members together.


Lifeflight Training - 2025
Spending the evening documenting a Life Flight training gave me a behind the scenes look at the teamwork and precision that emergency response requires. From landing zone setup to patient care simulations, every moment showcased the dedication and coordination between first responders working in high-pressure situations. Being able to capture both the intensity and professionalism of the training made this project especially rewarding.


Lily's Maternity Shoot - 2025
I have had the wonderful opportunity to witness Lily grow from an adorable little girl into an amazing woman, and it was truly a joy to capture her beauty and excitement as she prepares to welcome her own baby girl. One especially meaningful aspect of the photo shoot was the incorporation of my baby shoes, which I wore during my infancy, along with my son's beloved baby blanket.

Kilgore Family Photos - 2024
For our 2024 family photos, we spent the evening chasing the Oregon sunset and ended up with one of the most unforgettable backdrops imaginable. The combination of the glowing sunset, smoky skies from a nearby forest fire, and the natural beauty of the surrounding landscape created a dramatic and vibrant setting for the session. More than anything, this project captured genuine laughter, connection, and the joy of preserving memories together in a uniquely Oregon moment.


NFW Homeport Dinner - 2024
The Newport Fishermen’s Wives Homeport Dinner project gave me the opportunity to capture an evening dedicated to honoring the local fishing community and the traditions that help shape the Oregon Coast. Filled with fresh seafood, live music, laughter, and storytelling, the event brought together fishermen, families, and community members for a memorable night of celebration and connection. Throughout the evening, I gathered photo and video content used for social media promotion and created a promotional video that highlighted the atmosphere, energy, and strong sense of community surrounding the event.


Siletz Fire live burn - 2024
The Siletz Fire live burn project is a collection of images that showcase the Siletz Fire Department volunteers and staff during a live burn exercise. Through this project, videos, ads, and social media posts were created to highlight the hard work and dedication of the department during this important training exercise. This project is a great way for businesses and community members to see the dedication and hard work of the Siletz Fire Department.


Siletz Valley Open House - 2024
The Siletz Valley Open House is a recent project aimed at showcasing the important work of local first responders and volunteers in the Siletz Valley community. From demonstrations to tours of the fire station and emergency vehicles, the project aimed to promote fire safety and community engagement. It provided a valuable opportunity for the community to learn more about the work of these essential service providers and how they contribute to the safety and well-being of the area.


Lincoln County Fair and Rodeo - 2024
The Lincoln County Fair and Rodeo project was all about capturing the energy, excitement, and community spirit that make this event such a local favorite each year. Working alongside Coastal Marketing Solutions, I gathered photo and video content throughout the fair to help promote attendance, highlight the variety of attractions and events, and create promotional material for future advertising, including a video for next year’s fair. From rodeo action to family fun, this project focused on showcasing the experiences that bring the community together each summer.
